![]() I’ve been on a much too long hiatus resulting from a mix of high holidays craziness, long hours at work, writers block and procrastination. Turns out deconstructing kosher slaughter is not as easy as I thought it would be. I’ve almost broken through my dry spell, and you can look forward to some great posts over the next few weeks. I am even working on a kosher slaughter video series which I hope to start rolling out over the next 6-12 months. In the meantime there are some great stories and media out there I’d like to share. I liked a video you made which is what brought me to your site. This video above though, with the killing of the cattle, is just ghastly though.... hauling the cows up while they are still alive. A horrible death. Not more horrible I expect than the normal slaughter houses.

Miranda, I most definitely agree with you about the video which I posted here. They are not giving the cows nearly enough time to bleed out before raising their back legs. This method is not as common today and is mostly just practiced in South American kosher slaughterhouses.
